On Tuesday 30 January, a delegation from the County Administrative Board and the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) visited Campus Sundsvall. The visit to Mid Sweden University was part of PRV's two-day tour of Härnösand and Sundsvall under the theme "Västernorrland as an innovation county".

On Thursday, January 25, Saad Muhammad Shaikh successfully presented his thesis "Hyperspectral imaging for in-situ applications: Methods to improve the classification of materials using hyperspectral imaging". After the grading committee's deliberation, he can now title himself a Doctor in Electronics.

Thursday the 18th of January PhD-student Mazhar Hussain presented his work on a half-time seminar with the title "Multi-Sensor data fusion for improved estimation and prediction of physical quantities”. Now Mazhar continues his work toward a doctoral thesis defense.
