Furthermore, the research includes practical application of process and material development aimed at industrial needs. Research methodology is often interdisciplinary and can include modeling, simulation, method development and experiments.
The area of Sports Technology comprises research concerning equipment-based human physiological performance development, modeling, simulation and optimization of biomechanical systems and materials. This includes both human physiology and musculoskeletal system as well as efficiency-enhancing technology and equipment.
The area of Additive manufacturing and its research spans a wide area from prototype manufacturing in sports technology to applications in medicine and material and process development for the engineering industry. The research in Additive manufacturing, mainly in metal, is focused on the electron beam melting method. Our expertise in additive manufacturing includes metals, polymers, materials development, manufacturing techniques and process development.
