Fiber Optic Valley made an interview with Enkeleda Balliu from Italy, guest researcher in photonics here at the Mid Sweden University. She told a bit about her research, about her background in Albania and why she chose being a guest researcher at STC in Sundsvall.

Enkeleda is a guest researcher for a couple of months at STC. Her work in the Photonics group involves testing and putting together a high power laser demonstrator for materials processing.

The research group in Photonics are developing the laser demonstrators in collaboration with the companies LaserCut in Hudiksvall, LaserNova in Östersund, Cobolt in Stockholm and Optoskand in Gothenburg. The project is financed by Region Gävleborg, Länsstyrelsen in Västernorrland, Mittuniversitetet, Tillväxtverket and Fiber Optic Valley
