Elin is a former student of the Mid Sweden University Tourism programme, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Studies. Her thesis sought to investigate differences in travel behaviour between fans and other visitors at a newly opened museum in Stockholm in 2013.

Having grown up in the little community of Härnösand in northern Sweden, she left for Australia upon receiving her high school diploma. There she spent a year cultivating her interest in tourism by combining travel and some work in the sector itself.

Elin has since gained further industry insight by working in various hotels and events as well as through participating in various tourism-related research projects. She holds a specific interest in the marketing component of the tourism product.
