Sårbara grupper och inkludering i arbetsliv

Arbetslivet är i ständig utveckling och förhållanden på arbetsplatsen är viktiga för medarbetarnas hälsa och välbefinnande.

Bakgrund

Jag doktorerade på Karolinska Institutet 2001 inom ämnesområdet Rehabiliteringsmedicin. 2009 utsågs jag till docent och våren 2014 befordrades jag till professor i Hälsovetenskap vid Mittuniversitetet. Jag är också verksam som forskningschef i Helse Nord-Trøndelag, Sykehuset Levanger, Norge.

Forskningsområden

Min forskning riktar sig i huvudsak mot att studera hälsofrämjande- och rehabiliterande processer i syfte att inkludera människor, som antingen är i riskzonen för utstötning, eller som redan är marginaliserade i förhållande till arbetsliv eller aktivitet. Marginalisering kan ha sin bakgrund i olika faktorer eller samspel av faktorer, exempelvis social ojämlikhet i hälsa, funktionsnedsättningar eller sjukdom, kön, ålder och etnicitet. Forskningen har haft ett tvärvetenskapligt och praktiskt tillämpbart perspektiv med fokus på vad som främjar hälsa och inkludering i arbetslivet. Jag har i huvudsak studerat hälsofrämjande- och rehabiliterande processer på kvinnodominerade arbetsplatser i offentlig sektor. Efter flera gästforskaruppehåll vid utländska universitet har också intresset ökat för att studera och jämföra andra länders sociala välfärdssystem med de skandinaviska, främst inom hälso- och rehabiliteringsområdet.
