New organization for the University Library and LRC
As of the fall semester 2016 the University library and LRC has a new organization. Four departments and a library office supports the university with library services and teaching support. The new organization has changed its name to the University Library. LRC has merged with the department of Teaching and Learning Services. The departments are:
Research Related Services (Forskningsnära tjänster, FNT)
This department works with the digital publication of dissertations and reports in Diva, registration of research publications in Diva for distribution to national and international systems, archiving and bibliometric analysis. The department supports researchers and PhD students, including help with systematic literature searches, support in reference management systems (e.g. EndNote) and tools for choosing publication channels, as well as information about visibility when publishing on the Internet, Open Access and copyright.

Learning Environment and Communication (Studiemiljö och kommunikation, SOK)
This department ensures that the University Library offers a well-functioning study environment for the students of the university and that all of the library's communication is effective and satisfactory for students, employees and the public.

Teaching and Learning Services (Utbildningsnära tjänster, UNT)
This department is responsible for the development of pedagogical and didactic teaching support for the university's teachers and offers services in academic writing and information literacy education for the students. The department is also the owner of the university's systems for learning; Moodle, the Student Portal, EvaSys and the media portal Kaltura.

Information Supply and Acquisitions (Vetenskaplig informationsförsörjning, VIF)
This department handles everything regarding acquisitions and distribution of media to the university's students, teachers and researchers. This includes the library's selection of and purchasing of databases, journals, course literature and other books, as well as our interlibrary loan service. The department also makes sure that the library's collections are searchable and accessible both in the library and on our web.

Library office (Bibliotekskansliet, UBK)
The library office is an internal support function for the library. The library office is responsible for management support, project support, and coordination and planning.

Library Advisory Council
The Library Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Vice-Chancellor, on matters pertaining to the long-term development and promotion of library matters. The Advisory Council includes representatives from the faculties and departments, the student union and the library.
