Dr. Luca Beltramelli, former PhD-student at Mid Sweden University, was awarded with the Best Student Journal Paper Award at IEEE Sweden VT-COM-IT Joint Chapter. It was in tough competition that Lucas's work was presented as Top nominated papers 2022.
At the end of December, Rikard Hamrin from Mid Sweden University's research center STC, visited Örnsköldsvik to assemble snow depth sensors on sand pockets in Svartby, together with Håkan Gunnarsson at Öviks Energi.

Methane gas accounts for one-fifth of global warming. Bakhram Gaynullin, industrial doctoral student at Mid Sweden University and Senseair, has developed a measurement method to distinguish methane gas in small concentrations from water vapour, at a much lower cost than existing technology.
