At Mid Sweden University there are a number of planning processes. Two of these are the business planning process and the production planning process.
Business planning process
The business planning process (VP) translates and concretises the strategy, the appropriation letters, budget and staff conditions, risk analysis, business analysis, internal and national audit procedures, and other considerations.
Production planning process
To facilitate Mid Sweden University’s planning, planning tools for education, staffing and finance have been linked together to a single production planning process. The purpose of the production planning process is to shorten lead times, avoid manual duplication and increase the data quality of the systems used in the planning work for production.
Follow-up
Results and outcomes of implemented activities are gradually compiled in different forms of follow-up (indicator-based, mission-based and dialogue-based). At each stage of this process, follow-up is also used as a basis for dialogue on continued business development. In LISA (management information system) there are also reports gathered in different areas showing results and situational descriptions. The result is degradable on various dimensions such as institution, field of education, teaching form, etc.
