Welcome to 31st Nordic Symposium on Tourism and Hospitality Research
On 19-21 September the European Tourism Research Institute (ETOUR) at Mid Sweden University, will host Nordic Symposium 2023 under the theme "Rethinking tourism for a sustainable future". We are looking forward seeing you in Östersund in September!
The symposium is a research conference delivered under the umbrella of the Nordic Society for Tourism and Hospitality Research (NORTHORS). The symposium provides a platform for academic debate and development in the field of tourism and hospitality research in the Nordic countries and in a wider European and global context. NORTHORS is closely linked to the Scandinavian Journal of Hospitality and Tourism, which a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Taylor and Francis.

Rethinking tourism for a sustainable future - "solutions in theory and practice", 21 September
On the last day of the symposium, there is a plenary panel discussion with representatives from the Swedish tourism sector and academia. The panel will reflect upon the conference theme and discuss possible solutions in theory and practise.
