Security protection consists of three main areas: personal security, information security, and fire and property protection. Responsibility for the different areas is divided.
Handling of safety-related incidents for employees
Personal safety
Lennart Johansson, Head of Real Estate, is responsible for matters concerning the personal safety of Mid Sweden University's staff, such as violence or threats of violence within the university, etc.
More information and guidance in the area of threats and violence can be found at
When something undesirable occurs, always call 112 if the situation is URGENT.
Reporting of safety-related incidents for students
Incidents of a security-related nature that affect Mid Sweden University's students, such as violence or threats of violence, theft, accidents within the university, etc., are reported to Property Manager Lennart Johansson.
Fire and property protection
Lennart Johansson, Head of Real Estate at the Department of Infrastructure, is responsible for this area.
Non-emergency events, i.e. things that are not "112 cases", such as burglary, theft, fire risks and water incidents, are reported to the respective curator and/or via the e-mail address: lokalsakerhet@miun.se.

Information security
Information is one of the University's most important assets and a prerequisite for its operations. The information must therefore be made available and protected from, for example, being leaked, altered or destroyed. The work with information security is primarily based on laws, ordinances, regulations, the University's own requirements and agreements. The Department of Infrastructure is responsible for this area.
